NEWer WORK

Here are some examples of my recent activities as of July 2008!  The work featured in these pages stretch back from now to 2000.  I've been working with sculptures and drawings in a wide variety of formats over the last several years.  Click on the images below to get to the NEW DRAWING, NEW SCULPTURES galleries for examples of the work.

Enjoy!

DRAWINGS

These new drawings are a continuance of my work to date.  For those of you familiar with my work you will see a continuation of the visual/symbolic language I have been using for many years.  They employ oil-stick, graphite, chalk and oil pastel plus a little charcoal, and are on mylar, paper and wood panel.

SCULPTURES

The new sculptures are a continuation of my love of natural and man-made found objects and periodic use of poetic text.  A wide variety of influences and ideas brought these pieces into being as well as the influence of the works of Joseph Cornell and Ed Zelenak.  The work typically features found objects, beeswax, and recently casting resin on plaster on panel.  Included in these samples is a work titled Empty which was recently taken into the collection of the Tom Thomson Memorial Art Gallery.
